I am delighted to see that almost 264,000 euro has been allocated for projects in South Kildare under the Sports Capital Programme from invalid applications last year. Scoil Na Naomh Uilig, Coill Dubh National School, Clogherinkoe GAA club and Cill Dara RFC have been successful for funding until the SCP.

The 54,600 euro of funds will allow the repairing of pitches and upgrade of boilers & floodlights in Cill Dara. While Scoil Na Naomh Uilig will be able to proceed with an artificial playing surface following the 107,500 euro of funding granted to them. Looking forward to the upcoming lip sync which will help complete the funding.

67,400 euro was allocated for Clogherinkoe to install full floodlights and for a track / walkway around the pitch.

33,900 euro has been granted to Coill Dubh National School for artificial grass in a Multi-Sport Play Area”.

Further SPC grants will be approved later in the year for 2019 applications.
