Approval granted for capital works at Scoil Mhuire Allenwood

Fianna Fail education spokesperson Senator Fiona O’Loughlin has welcomed the initial approval for Additional School Accommodation at Scoil Mhuire Allenwood,

Senator O’Loughlin said, “ I have just received word from Minister for Education, Norma Foley TD that approval has been granted for additional accommodation at Scoil Mhuire in Allenwood.”

“This approval will see 3 x 80m2 Mainstream Classrooms and En-Suites as well as 2 x SEN base facilities to assist the school and its staff to continue to provide a top class education.”

“In addition, approval has been given to proceed to the next phase in the reconfiguration works to existing rooms 1 & 2 to provide one larger Mainstream Classroom. Reconfiguration works will also be conducted to existing rooms 19 & 20 to provide one larger Mainstream Classroom.”

Fiona concluded by saying “This project will transform the facilities at the school and is well deserved recognition for the whole school community at Scoil Mhuire. I want to commend all involved and thank Minister Foley for working proactively to get this over the line.”
