In excess of €1 million for Monasterevin under the Health 2022 Capital Plan

Kildare South based Senator Fiona O’Loughlin has  welcomed the confirmation of €1.09 million to Monasterevin under the Health 2022 Capital Plan.

Senator O’Loughlin said, “This fund is a key source of funding for local medical and health care facilities, and I am delighted with the €1 million allocation for Monasterevin.”

“This funding will see the ongoing renovation of dispensary existing building to provide accommodation for an Older Person Day Services Unit and PCC Services at Monasterevan Day care centre, Drogheda Street, Monasterevin.”

“I have made calls in the past for action on the development of Monasterevin Day Care Centre, and this funding is most certainly a step in the right direction. This saga has been ongoing for a number of years, and I am working hard to ensure the reopening of this vital community and health facility in the Monasterevan community as soon as possible

Fiona concluded by saying “Monasterevin day care centre is a vital community service. Monasterevin Day Care Centre is voluntary, and was established in 1996, some 25 years ago, and we must ensure that everything is done to drive the development project forward.”
