Minister Robert Troy visits South Kildare – Senator O’Loughlin

Today, Fianna Fáils Deputy Leader in the Seanad Senator Fiona O’Loughlin welcomed her colleague the Minister of State with responsibility for Trade Promotion, Digital and Company Regulation to South Kildare.

Senator O’Loughlin said, “I was delighted to welcome my colleague the Minister for Trade Promotion, Minister Robert Troy to South Kildare Today.”

“South Kildare has a vibrant and growing SME sector, with many of our local, indigenous retailers growing and expanding in our county towns. I was eager to highlight the importance of local entrepreneurs and small business to our local economy in South Kildare.”

“The Local Enterprise Office can and does provide vital supports to many local businesses and they can be transformative. One clear example is Pestle and Mortar in Newbridge. They benefitted from participation in the LEO Showcase 2018, Ireland’s Creative Expo for international buyers. They also secured a Business Expansion and a Priming Grant which supported their phenomenal growth. Support such as these can be vital for small businesses, especially when they are in the infancy.”

Fiona concluded “I want to thank RYARC Remote Hub and Lock Box in Rathangan, ACDAL in Allenwood as well as Pfizer and Pestle and Mortar in Newbridge for their hospitality and for giving Minister Troy such a warm welcome to South Kildare.”
