Chair of the Oireachtas Womens Caucus and Fianna Fáil Senator Fiona O’Loughlin has welcomed the announcement by her Government colleagues of €100,000 in funding for womens sheds.
Senator O’Loughlin said, “I have been working and supporting Newbridge womens shed and others around South Kildare, and was delighted to welcome the ladies from Newbridge to Leinster House this week.”
“In the chamber I called for better funding and supports for what is a fantastic initiative.
I was pleased to see that my calls were listened to and that €100,000 has been made available to support women’s sheds around the country.”
Fiona concluded by saying “Any womens shed interested in applying should contact womenssheds@drcd.gov.ie”
