Over €10,000 for Kildare Library Supports

Kildare based Senator Fiona O’Loughlin has welcomed funding of €11,008.57 for additional library supports in Kildare.

Senator O’Loughlin said, “This funding will provide for range of equipment, classes and activities in our libraries. It will focus mainly on supporting children, the elderly, people with disabilities and the marginalised and disadvantaged communities.”

“This money is being made available through under the Dormant Accounts Action Plan. I am pleased to see our libraries being supported with additional funding especially given the recent €3.1 million announcement of the expansion of the Open Library.”

Fiona concluded by saying “Whilst the funding is small in nature, I have no doubt that it will be put to good use on the ground.”
