Pop up test centre to open in Newbridge amid schools outbreaks

A pop-up Covid 19 test centre is to open in Newbridge next week after a number of outbreaks locally including three Newbridge Schools according to a local Senator.

Kildare Seantor Fiona O’Loughlin called for the pop up centre to open after the numbers began steadily rising in the area over the two week period up to April 19 with 134 cases reported.

There have also been a number of outbreaks at three Newbridge schools.

“I asked about the possibility of a pop up centre for Newbridge given the rise in confirmed Covid 19 cases in local schools and I am pleased to say that it will open next week,” said Senator O’Loughlin.

“As ever please do not send your child to school if they are displaying any symptoms of Covid 19. If your child is a close contact restricted movement means not attending school, not going on public transport, not having visitors to the house, or visiting other people’s homes.”
