Pop up vaccination clinics begin today at third level colleges

Fianna Fail Senator Fiona O’Loughlin, has welcomed the that Pop-up vaccination clinics are to open  on over 15 colleges campuses today as thousands of first years enter higher education for the first time.

Senator O’Loughlin said, “Today, thousands of students, many of them first years, are beginning a new and exciting chapter of their lives as they return to onsite studies.”

“The college experience is about more than just the studies, the entire experience of third level and college life is a formative experience, and it is great to see the buzz of students back on colleges campuses”

“The clinics will provide first or second doses and will be provided to students and staff as walk-in clinics during Vaccination Week. The aim is to maximise vaccine uptake in those who have not yet availed of vaccination, including international students..”

“Protecting on campus learning is key, and our students who have suffered so much deserve to remain on campus, and in college. Vaccination is a vital element in ensuring that is achieved.” concluded Senator O’Loughlin
