Significant investment in Naas General hospital under the Health 2022 Capital

Fianna Fail Senator Fiona O’Loughlin has called welcomed the significant investment announced for Naas General under the Health 2022 Capital Plan.

Senator O’Loughlin said, “I am delighted to see that over €4 million euro has been sanctioned for Naas General Hospital under the Health 2022 Capital Plan.”

“€300,000 has been allocated to fund a Day Procedures Unit, Oncology, Physical Therapy Unit and provision of a replacement Endoscopy Suite.”

“€400,000 has been allocated in 2022 for the new 50 Bed Acute Mental Health Unit at Lakeview, including 9 No. Intensive Care Beds, to replace existing.”

“Finally, €3.55 million has been allocated to construct a modular unit with 12 single rooms. This would assist in the isolation of suspected COVID-19 and other infectious illness case.”

Fiona concluded by saying “I have been working closely with Minister Donnelly to ensure that Kildare gets its fair share of funding from this year’s capital plan. Really pleased to see such an allocation for Naas General.”
