Kildare South based Senator Fiona O’Loughlin has welcomed the news that 2 new special educational needs classrooms have been sanctioned by her colleague Minister Norma Foley for Scoíl Ide Naofa in Kilmeade.
Senator O’Loughlin said “I have been liaising with Minister Norma Foley, proactively on a number of different educational projects, especially in the area of special education.”
“Special education is an area that has always been close to my heart. I am and always have been a passionate advocate for a fully inclusive education system.”
“Special Education facilities within our schools allows local children to be educated locally, with their siblings and peers- and that is so important in my view.”
Senator O’Loughlin concluded “I am delighted for the entire school community at Scoíl Ide Naofa and I want to commend them for all their tireless work. ”
