Water upgrades for Brodleas in Ballymore Eustace

Kildare South based Senator Fiona O’Loughlin has welcomed the announcement by Irish Water of a programme of improvement works for Brodleas.

Senator O’Loughlin said, “These vital works represent a significant investment in Brodleas which has been prioritised under the national Leakage Reduction Programme. I am pleased to see that our infrastructure will be brought up to par. Water leakage in our system must be tackled”

“These works will replace over 1.5km of old pipes and water mains with new pipes along the local road between Ballymore Eustace and Brodleas.”

“The works are due to begin next week and are expected to be completed by the end of July of this year. Unfortunately, roads will be closed to facilitate this project. From Goldenfalls Hydro Electric Plant going south to the junction of local road L2026 will be closed. Diversions will be in place.”

Fiona concluded by saying “Ensuring we have a safe and reliable source of water and that we continue to invest in the improvement of our water network is crucial for the future development of our communities.”
