Just under €125,000 allocated to Kildare to Boost to Swimming Pool Operators

Senator Fiona O’Loughlin has welcomed the announcement by her Government colleagues of €124,949.90. The funding allocation is an acknowledgement of the importance of the sector and the impact swimming has on the nation’s health. Ireland Active was appointed by Sport Ireland to administer the swimming pool grant scheme, supported by partners Swim Ireland.

Senator O’Loughlin said, “Today’s funding is very welcome and will no doubt be a huge boost to operators around Kildare.”

“Swimming is such an important life skill, and one that can be lifesaving. We all know the importance of staying active and swimming is a great option all year around.”

Concluding, Senator O’Loughlin said “I want to commend Minister Chambers for his commitment to advancing sport of all kinds and for ensuring that Kildare.”
