Monasterevin Day Care Centre development expected to go to tender in Q1 2022

Earlier this week, Kildare based Senator Fiona O’Loughlin called for action on the development of Monasterevin Day Care Centre.

Today, it has been confirmed that the project is expected to go to tender in Q1 2022

Senator O’Loughlin said “Earlier this week I called for action in relation to the refurbishment and development of the Monasterevin day care centre to a health care centre”

“Today, in the Seanad I was informed that work is progressing on the preparation of tender documentation, and that all statutory approvals, such as planning permission, fire safety certificate and disability access certificate have been acquired.”

“Tender documents are expected to be issued in Q1 2022. This will be followed by an 18 month construction programme, with completion expected in 2023”

Fiona concluded “I am pleased to finally see some clarity in relation to this project. This saga has gone on and on and on, and I have been raising it since I was first elected to the Oireachtas in 2016. The community of Monasterevin have been patient enough, and it’s time that this project is delivered.”
