More needs to be done to tackle spiking in our communities- Senator Fiona O’Loughlin

Chair of the Oireachtas Women’s Caucus Senator Fiona O’Loughlin has called for more to be done to tackle spiking in light of recent attacks in Newbridge.

Senator O’Loughlin said, “The spiking that we have seen in Newbridge is scary and totally unacceptable. We need to see action to tackle this insidious crime.”

“Young women in our have a right to lead to normal and free social life without fear.”

Concluding, Senator O’Loughlin said “I have called for action in relation this. Our young people, especially our young women deserve to feel safe and secure in our communities.”
