O’Loughlin working with LBDC and RCAB Community Alert Group

I’ve has been an active member of the LBDC (Lullymore, Barnaran, Drumsru and Cappanargid) and RCAB (Rathangan Community Alert Body) community since a young age and throughout my political life i’ve engaged with the community alert groups to work on issues raised with them.

I’m delighted to work witht the LBDC and RCAB groups to organize a series of talks in Rathangan Community Centre directed at Crime Prevention, Drugs Awareness and Cyber Safety. We live in a time where exposure to crime, drug usage and cyber safety is prevalent and we must equip people with the information to protect themselves and others around them. These meetings have been organised to ensure the correct information is being given to our communities and safety measures can be taken to alleviate risks associated.

The first meeting will take place on Monday 7th October at 8pm in the Rathangan Community Centre on Crime Prevention with guest speaker Sergeant George Doherty, Crime Prevention Sergeant for County Kildare.

The second meeting will take place on Monday 9th December at 8pm on Drug Awareness and the third meeting in March relates to Cyber Safety.

These meetings will give the public an opportunity to hear from professionals working in the specific areas.
