Senator Fiona O’Loughlin renews her call for cost rental in South Kildare

Newbridge based Senator Fiona O’Loughlin has intensified her lobbying for cost rental to be brought to South Kildare.

Senator O’Loughlin said, “Housing is an absolute key priority for my party colleagues and I in Government. I am contacted day in and day out by concerned constituents who are struggling to find appropriate accommodation to rent or to buy, or by people who are living in uncertain rental circumstances.”

“Cost rental is an obvious option for us in South Kildare. Cost Rental is a new form of tenure in Ireland where tenants will pay rent that covers the costs of delivering, managing, and maintaining the homes only. Cost rental homes are targeted to middle income households with a reduction of at least 25% on open market rental values.”

“Cost rental offers you a long-term, secure tenancy that is more affordable for families. Affordability is an issue for us in Kildare South, and I believe cost rental would be a good fit for us here.”

Fiona concluded “I have been working hard behind the scenes to see cost rental delivered in South Kildare and I am renewing my call publicly for it to be delivered.”
